Clanwilliam Chess Club Gets Support From Rooibos Limited

Rooibos Limited has once again decided to support the local Clanwilliam Chess Club. We donated a number of items to them to help the club develop their activities in the community. This includes an internal modem and speakers which will allow the club to partake in online chess training. We also sponsored 15 club shirts and new chess boards.

We share their vision to empower the youth through constructive activities like chess, which is why we continue to pledge our support to this organisation.

Augsburg High School Proudly Wears Rooibos Limited Match Wear

The under 19 first rugby team at Augsburg Agricultural Gymnasium recently received branded match shirts from Rooibos Limited.
 
As a company, we enjoy getting involved with the young people in our community and we are always looking for opportunities to uplift those located around our business. We firmly believe that a healthy body nurtures a healthy mind.
 

Rooibos Limited Puts A Smile On The Faces Of Lemoenland Educare

Lemoenland Educare is a Clanwilliam-based education centre for young children. Rooibos Limited recently donated new branded shirts to all of the children enrolled at the facility.

They do great work to install valuable skills and knowledge in the minds of the children of our community. That’s exactly why we decided to pledge our support to them.

The article focused on the myriad of applications that Rooibos enjoys and, in particular, how creative some people and companies have gotten when it comes to creating Rooibos products.

Rooibos Limited renews sponsorship of the Clanwilliam Chess Club

After a roaring year for the Clanwilliam Chess Club, Rooibos Limited has decided to renew its sponsorship of the club. 
 
Although the club is only 2 years old, they have already secured a myriad of accolades. This includes hosting 2 SA-grade tournaments in Clanwilliam, participating in the SA national chess tournament and winning the West Coast Chess Open tournament in 2021.
 
We are proud to be involved with this organisation and we look forward to seeing what they will accomplish throughout 2022.

Bowls enjoyed by many in Clanwilliam

Bowls is one of the most popular sporting events enjoyed by young and old in Clanwilliam throughout the year. Rooibos Limited and our employees always take up opportunities to get involved in this sport in the community.
 
Each year, the Clanwilliam Bowls Club hosts its annual “Rol & Jol” event, where local residents, business people and visitors are invited to join in the festivities and try their hand at a few rounds of bowls. 
 
Rooibos Limited and our bowls teams are usually seen as serious competition at this event! Four of our employees are also club members of the Bowls Club. They are  Netaneël Hesselman, Eden Syster, Jaco van Rooy and Jason Bumberley.

New mobile clinic heading to remote Rooibos farms to aid workers

A partnership between Twinings, an international tea company based in the UK, and the Pebbles Project, a registered NPO, has been formed to provide access to healthcare services in remote areas through a mobile health clinic. The partnership is part of ‘Sourced with Care’, which is Twinings’ responsible sourcing programme. 

The mobile health service will support around 800 farm workers and their children on a number of UTZ-certified Rooibos tea farms in the Clanwilliam and Citrusdal area with wellness screenings, routine health check-ups, primary healthcare support, health and wellness workshops and over-the-counter health products. Health workshops will be presented on topics such as family planning, maternal health, hygiene, TB and HIV/AIDS, substance abuse and lifestyle diseases.

Rooibos Limited sponsors Rooibos Iced Tea at the Brandkop MTB & Trail Run 2022

Rooibos Limited was approached by the organisers of the Brandkop MTB & Trail Run event for a sponsorship. We decided to take up the opportunity and sponsored Rooibos Instant Iced Tea Sachets, which were placed in the goodie bags that participants received upon registration.
We encouraged participants to visit House of Rooibos in Clanwilliam for the ultimate Rooibos experience.
Rooibos Limited makes a donation to Delicious Rugby Club
 

Rooibos Limited again made a donation to Delicious Rugby Club – a local sport organisation in Clanwilliam. We have been involved with the club for many years and we were delighted to once again support them.

The club has expressed their gratitude towards Rooibos Limited. After the advent of COVID-19 and bans on contact sport, the donation comes as a welcome relief to the club.

The donation included new training shirts, rugby jerseys and shorts. 

Rooibos Limited supports a local chess club
 

Rooibos Limited recently decided to support the local Clanwilliam Chess Club by means of a donation.

The funds have been used to purchase essential items for the chess players, many of which are school pupils, to aid them in getting the exposure and practice they need to excel at the various chess tournaments that the club participates in.

Among other things, the club now has access to clocks that players use to time their games, new chess boards and a demonstration board, which is used when experts train new players on advanced chess moves.

Rooibos Ltd sponsors sports teams at Augsburg Agricultural Gymnasium
 

Rooibos Limited is deeply committed to developing the community and investing in our youth. That’s exactly why we decided to sponsor several sports teams at Augsburg Agricultural Gymnasium this year.

Augsburg is located in Clanwilliam, which is also home to our headquarters and the heart of Rooibos tea production in the world! Some of the teams that have been sponsored by Rooibos Limited include the school’s first rugby and netball teams.

With our contribution, we hope to enable the young sports stars to reach new heights and take part in sporting events across the country so that they can showcase their skill.

Rooibos Ltd sponsors Rooibos2Muisbos MTB Challenge

Rooibos Ltd was the proud title sponsor of the first Rooibos2Muisbos MTB held in perfect weather on Saturday, 27 July 2019. A total of 400 mountain bikers entered for either the 112 km (starting at Clanwilliam) or the 38 km challenge (starting in Graafwater). Both events finished at Muisbosskerm, which is approximately 5 km outside Lambert’s Bay.

The event organiser, Albert de Bruijn, was satisfied with the overall number of entries for both events. Various local mountain bike enthusiasts also participated in the event. “We have the infrastructure and we have the scenery. And we are grateful to have Rooibos Ltd on board as sponsor. We will now build on this experience to offer an even bigger event in 2020.”

Gerda de Wet, Communication Manager at Rooibos Ltd, said the sponsorship of this sports event fitted in the company’s philosophy of promoting a healthy lifestyle by drinking Rooibos. ‘Over and above serving as a marketing event for Rooibos Ltd, the MTB also boosted tourism in the area and supported local businesses. May this be the first of many such events.’
