Donate used Rooibos teabags for breast cancer awareness

Breast cancer is second most common cancer in women and men worldwide. For women of all races, the lifetime risk of getting breast cancer is 1 in 27.

One way to protect ourselves is to make sure we get enough cancer-fighting antioxidants, like the antioxidants found in Rooibos.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The SA Rooibos Council (SARC) has joined hands with the popular lingerie brand, Storm in A-G Cup, to create a bra made almost entirely of Rooibos teabags. This bra will be auctioned during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

To be part of this breast cancer awareness initiative, South Africans are asked to donate their used and dried Rooibos teabags before 30 August, together with a message of hope. Around 1000 used and dried Rooibos tea bags are needed for this initiative.

All the proceeds from the auction will go towards furthering the work that the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) is doing to help women affected by breast cancer.

Where to send your Rooibos teabags
Used and dried Rooibos teabags, together with a message of hope, can be posted to or delivered at: Storm in A-G Cup, Shop 3, 44 Oxford Street, Durbanville, 7550 OR dropped off at any Storm in A-G Cup store. Parcels should be marked: “Used Rooibos teabags for breast cancer initiative”.
