The popular food chain, Nando’s, has launched a brand new line of Rooibos tea drinks. The brand is called RUBRO and is only sold at Nando’s franchises as an optional beverage guests can enjoy with meals.
The drinks are made from SA’s very own locally sourced Rooibos. Rubro means ruby-red in Portuguese. Some may say that this exclusive launch is #couplegoals because the African Birds Eye chilli which is the key to Nando’s legendary flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken, and Rooibos, are both sourced from Southern Africa. These two key ingredients are grown under the same sun and share a unique provenance.
