A new local brand of gin called Sugarbird has recently launched. Their brand story is based around celebrating local flavours, which is exactly why their products have been made with a wealth of homegrown herbs and plants, including Rooibos.
Their team has combined various ‘buchu’ species, with Rooibos, Honeybush, several Pelargonium species and other ‘fynbos’ plants to create gins that attain a delicate balance between citrus and floral notes.
