Rooibos Limited honours long-service employees – including an employee that has been with the company for 40 years!

Rooibos Limited has been the preferred supplier of Rooibos to the world since 1954. Since its modest beginnings, this company has been honouring their hard-working employees while creating a productive work environment.

Each year, the management team at Rooibos Limited awards their long-service employees with trophies in appreciation of their dedicated service.

In the first half of this year, Rooibos Ltd acknowledges four employees who have been with the company for at least ten years.

“The idea behind the awards is to show our appreciation to our hard-working employees,” Gerda de Wet, Communication Manager at Rooibos Limited, said.

“Long-service awards are important because there is a correlation between a company’s stability and the number of long-serving employees working there. These employees help to carry forward the institutional knowledge of Rooibos Limited. We are proud of them,” De Wet added.

Rooibos Limited has honoured staff who have completed 10, 20, or 40 years of uninterrupted service at their headquarters in Clanwilliam.

Karlien van der Spuy, Accountant of the Financial Department, has been with the company for 10 years.

Employees who have been with Rooibos Limited for 20 years include Granville Booysen, Boiler Operator of the Plant Maintenance Department; and Cornelis Swartz, Supervisor of the Processing Department.

Gert van Rooy, Factotum and Handy Man at Rooibos Limited, has been with the company since 1981 – an incredible 40 years.
